"The Guncle Abroad"

Book Review For The Guncle Abroad by Steven Rowley

I know that sometimes sequels can be disappointing or just not as good as the first book, but I can say that was not the case with The Guncle Abroad by Steven Rowley.

Patrick is back with Maisie and Grant for more adventures but this time they are in Europe! The kids father Patrick's brother Greg is engaged to a women from Italy and it has been 5 years since Sarah has passed away.

Patrick is wrapping up filming in London and Greg has asked him to take Maisie and Grant the weeks leading up to the wedding. Patrick has planned his usual shenanigans but doesn't realize what he's up against when not everyone is excited about the wedding.

Patrick pulls out all the stops to teach the kids about love and life while also realizing he needs some of those lessons himself.

With the same banter, whit, and comedy I found myself laughing more than the first book and just like the first book their is lots of life lessons to go around for everyone. Some familiar characters will also pop up along the way when you least expect it.

The Guncle Abroad is heartwarming, fun, and feels like a warm hug when you are reading or listening to the book.
