"The Jetsetters"

For the first time in a long time, I really wanted to stop a book halfway through and not finish it. While I did finish The Jetsetters by Amanda Eyre Ward, it was a struggle to get through this novel.
The book had a lot of potential to be funny about a dysfunctional family. Still, it fell flat with complicated depressing storylines for each character, and at times it was hard to follow.
The Perkins have family problems, but when mom Charlotte wins a European cruise she decides to take her three adult children each with their baggage family drama will soon ensue.
Each family member had a lot of issues, baggage, and emotional drama and they were also very self-absorbed and too caught up to even open up to one another or try to help the others in the family.
The book is told in the third person switching between characters and divided into several parts with each starting from chapter one making it choppy and hard to follow.
I haven't disliked a book in a long time but The Jetsetters is one I would not recommend. The novel fell short.
