A good mystery!

Several years ago I read one of Megan Miranda's books and loved it! With more of her books on my want-to-read list, I decided to read Such a Quiet Place. I couldn't put it down and listened to the entire book in less than a week.
The mystery left me on the edge of my seat guessing all the way through to the surprise ending. The book had just enough thriller and mystery for me and kept me engaged while not being too over the top.
Harper Nash lives in a quiet college town where she works at the local college in the admissions office and lives in a condo development where most of her neighbors are her co-workers. They are a tight-knit community until just over a year ago two of the neighbors died in what police believe was a suspicious incident. Harper's former roommate Ruby Fletcher was convicted of the murders and has been in jail ever since.
That is until she is released from prison 14 months after her arrest due to the case being overturned from evidence that was not properly handled by another neighbor Chase Colby. Ruby shows up at Harper's door like nothing has happened and is ready to resume where they left off.
Ruby is ready to prove her innocence and learn what happened to her late neighbors, while the rest of the neighborhood is skeptical and suspicious of her return. Will Ruby be able to find the answers or will the neighborhood never be able to recover from everything that happened?
The story is told from Harper's perspective and the reader watches as she wavers between right and wrong and looks for answers to all the questions haunting everyone in the community.
The book shows the intricate details of neighbor relationships, what people will keep to themselves, what suspicions do to relationships, and trusting your gut.
Miranda does an amazing job capturing all of the characters and their roles in the neighborhood. Such a Quiet Place by Megan Miranda is a must-read and will have you hooked from the first chapter.
