And here's what I thought!

Everyone has been talking about how much they enjoy listening to books, a little reluctant I decided to give it a try. In January I got a three month trial with Audible so I jumped on the bandwagon and listened to a book for the first time.

On the fence if I would enjoy this new trend of listening to books I picked a book off my Good Reads list, downloaded the app, and started listening to Pineapple Street by Jenny Jackson. With one promise to myself that I had to listen to the book all the way through.

At first I wasn't convinced it was for me, I was having a hard time getting into the book, following the story, and not sure if the narrators voice was annoying me or I was enjoying listening to someone else read the book. I was prepared to stick it out and get the full experience.

I eventually found myself popping on my headphones whenever I could to sneak in just an extra few minutes of listening or waiting for the chapter to end before pausing.

It took me about halfway through the book to really dive in and start to like the process of listening to a book. However, over time I have really come to love listening to books and find it a good way to soak in a new story.

I'm excited to find new books to listen to and yes, I will be signing up for an Audible subscription.
