And here are my thoughts

Putting aside the series I read Conviction and Confidence by Denise Minas since I've posted about them and they were not my favorite. This post is dedicated to reading a series.

I didn't know if I would enjoy reading a series over a stand-alone book. I didn't choose the series it was more of a default I read the first and then the second was on sale so I decided to finish the series.

What I did like about reading a series is the second one I dove into the book knowing the character's back stories and what they were trying to accomplish in the book allowing me to skip the explanations and backstories of the characters and get into the story. The continuation was interesting and a plus since sometimes I finish a book and wish there was a sequel to see what happened with the characters next. With a series, I found that I had more of this as opposed to wondering what happens next.

A downfall to reading a series was by the end of the second book I was bored with the characters and ready to move on since I had read them back to back, this might have been due to not liking the books and the characters as much.

I'm excited that I can finally say I read my first series! Will I read another one? Yes! I am little indifferent to reading a series as opposed to a stand-alone.
