A beautifully written story.

What if a dream or premonition could decide your fate? What if you were living a perfect life where nothing could go wrong until you have that one dream that dictates your entire future?

This is what is explored in the novel In Five Years by Rebeca Serle. Meet Dannie Kohan she is about to land her dream job and get engaged to the man of her dreams. The main character has her life mapped out and it's all going to be perfect and is on an exact timeline until she has a dream that takes her five years into the future and has her questioning everything.

Serle's One Italian Summer was not one of my favorite books I decided to give this one a try to see if it was that book or the author. In Five Years is beautifully written about love, friendship, and finding happiness it still was not one of my favorite books and I gave it 3 stars on Good Reads.

I had a hard time connecting with Dannie and I wanted to cheer her on but I also couldn't understand what she was doing with her relationships. The story itself was well written and beautiful however something in the book was just missing for me. The novel overall didn't leave me wanting more and it wasn't a book I couldn't put down.

I would like to give Rebecca Serle another chance and read another book by her I still have not fallen in love with any of her books.

In Five Years did leave me crying at the end and the plot twist will leave you fully surprised.
