Book Review For The Night We Lost Him by Laura Dave

The Night We Lost Him by Laura Dave has been the highly anticipated novel by Dave since her last mystery The Last Thing He Told Me. Just like her other book this one did not disappoint.

Nora who is reeling from the death of both her parents is approached by her stepbrother with the suggestion that their father's death may have not been accidental but possibly a murder. The book is told from Nora's perspective she is trying to put her life back together which has caused her grieving to come between herself and fiancée Jack.

Reluctant Nora entertains her stepbrother's theory and suggestion as the two begin their chase for answers. Bringing them from California to upstate New York through their father's history, business successes, and three marriages. What the two don't know is while they uncover their father's past and seek answers in his death they will also learn a lot about themselves, love, and their relationships.

This mystery is full of twists and adventures of the estranged siblings that will have you on the edge of your seat. The book is fast-paced but the number of characters can be confusing and you need to keep track of all of them.

The Night We Lost Him by Laura Dave is a good mystery that has the reader wanting more at every turn.
