Two Mysteries by Laura Dave

One of the first mysteries I read was The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave which set me on a path to discover and read more mysteries. When her latest book which was highly anticipated came out earlier this year I was excited to jump into another one of Laura Dave's mysteries. The Night We Lost Him and it lived up to the expectations.

Each book centers around the main character, a strong independent woman who finds themselves, in a situation where they need to take the lead and find answers.

As someone new to mysteries and wasn't sure it was a genre I would like, both books by the author were perfect mysteries to read. Each book has just enough twists and turns to keep me engaged and guessing but the books were also not too dark or confusing to follow.
